The APPG is funded by a consortium of organisations. So far in 2016 the APPG on Agriculture & Food for Development has received the following contributions:
Action Against Hunger UK - £1,000
Christian Aid - £5,000
Concern Worldwide - £2,500
Oxfam - £3,000
All donors fund the APPG because they believe in the importance of increased parliamentary awareness and activity around elimination of poverty through improved food security, more efficient smallholder agriculture and better nutrition.
The APPG’s finances are managed by the Natural Resource Institute at the University of Greenwich.
The APPG declares its income on the official Parliamentary register of APPGs which can be viewed here. In line with the House of Commons Standards Committee report into APPGs we will also publish an income and expenditure statement ahead of the next AGM in July 2016.
The main APPG costs include the salary of a coordinator and the costs of publications.
